What is it like to grow up with a parent who knows everything? Our parents shape the way we think, fear, and understand the world. As a child, I often received answers that left me confused, and these questions have stayed with me for years. Which led me to make a book comparing AI answers to my parents’ authentic answers.
This project began with a simple curiosity: What would it be like to grow up with a parent who had access to all the world’s knowledge in psychology, philosophy, science, culture, and religion, and always had the “perfect” answer? In the book, I return to the questions I asked as a child and ask them again, this time to AI. Each question is answered twice: once by my real parents and once by AI, creating a comparison between them.
The project received media attention, became a successful Headstart campaign, and was added to the National Library’s collection. Created as part of my visual communication studies at Bezalel, under the guidance of Yasmin Rabinowitz and Michal Tzur.
